Whenever I get free time, I like to tinker around with building various things. This place is where I put all of the tools I create that are to do with LiveJournal.

Greasemonkey Scripts

• lj_real_usernames.user.js (v0.5) 16th July, 2009
  Reverses a change made in R46 where you can change the displayed text for a username. <lj user="example" title="another" /> will now show as "example" rather than "another".

Support Toolbar

A Firefox toolbar which loads and updates the current board status for any public category, and provides lots of handy links.

Current Version : Support Toolbar v1.6.1 (24 March, 2010)

• I'd removed some code I didn't think was doing anything, turns out it was doing the category specific links. Also fixed a bug in the way it was doing it.

Enhancements planned for future releases

These are ideas which will be implemented in later releases. They're either too time consuming to be worked on at the moment, or will require a lot more effort than the other updates.

• Allow the toolbar to login with the user's cookie and show counts for private cats the user has privs for.
• Using the logged in user, only show links for which they have the correct privs. If user not logged in, show links to Support Guide, etc.

These versions are no longer supported. It is suggested you update to the latest version. The links are here purely for historical purposes.

• Now provides secure updates so that Firefox 3 doesn't moan.
• Public count no longer takes issues into account, for consistency with Anna.

• BUGFIX : No longer need to reboot on first install.
• BUGFIX : Tooltips change for each category.
• BUGFIX : When unable to get a connection "-" is shown instead of big error.
• Counts are in red if they are over category thresholds.
• Removed yellow count.
• Added links to closed and you replied.
• Category specific menus for most categories (although not all).
• Added in lots more links.
• All links open in new tabs.

Support Styles Toolbar v1.1 Updated : 03/07/07 - 00:58 GMT

• Now shows Yellow and SNH count.
• BACKEND : Can now accept a "cat" parameter to get info for other cats, and cache accordingly. In preparation for an extension which shows status for all cats.
